Description Kanikapila is essentially the Hawaiian word for "what families do when they get together." This year, two people have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. So characteristic of their generous attitude and the emphasis they put on "family", they took their four children and spouses on a Hawaiian cruise, as one last BIG family vacation. Talk about GREAT times!! Since our family is so spread out in age, there wasn't much time in the younger years to be together as a complete family. There was some "catching-up", constant laughter, and lasting memories...especially now that they are recorded in a beautiful album. A picture says a thousand words, but the love and gratitude we have for them leaves us all speechless. This is our Kanikapila, this is what we did when we got together. It was paradise, but it wasn't the ocean, blue skies, sun, or food that made it so, it was the family. |
